ABOUT OUR GUEST

Web_Session-7-01aBelonging to a family of businessmen, Paul Tan knew the worth of having a target niche. And in his case, he targeted women who are willing to spend for beauty.

It is quite difficult to find a real man venturing into the world of women, where fashion is the language and beauty is vital. But for Paul, nothing is impossible, as long as you speak their language and understand what is vital to them. And that is how his online business, Evee started.

From Swan to Evee

At 21, Paul put up his first business, selling organic beauty products such as lip balms, soaps, etc. and called it Swan. He used Multiply.com as a platform to sell his products, but admits that he never really got used to using the website. And unfortunately, after his attempt to market his products online, his business still did not flourish. Paul pointed out that the reason of the failure of the business was due to his lack of business plan.

However, his failure in his first business venture didn’t stop him from pursuing another business. For the second time around, Paul ventured on beauty products business. He started to sell his whitening products in Facebook under the brand name Evee where he found success.

GQWEST and AFFI

Paul remains to juggle his side business and his job as the AVP for operations of GQWEST, the company behind Aquabest, one of the largest water refilling station in the country with around 450 branches nationwide. And currently, he is also one of the board members of AFFI or the Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc.
