ABOUT OUR GUEST

Web_Session-12-01aAt a young age, Celestino “Les” Reyes is already knows his way to become an entrepreneur. Instead of playing on his leisure time with kids his age, he chose to help his older siblings and mother to earn for their living. He sold cigarettes, ice drops, pandesals, etc. And in times when he has nothing to sell, he would spend time in the market and offer to carry the baskets of the buyers for a few centavos.

Les’ brother Ricky was then making a name in the hairdressing industry and sent him to school. Later on, his other brother petitioned him and his mother to live in the U.S. There, he was exposed to many jobs and even in the U.S Navy where he been part for several years.

Revolutionized Salon Industry

Les returned to the Philippines and worked for his brother Ricky in his institute. He saw the need of more job opportunities for the graduates of the institute, and so he opened his own salon he named after his son, Christian.

In 2001, Les changed the name of his salon to Reyes Haircutters. He revolutionized the local hair salon industry by putting up one that caters to middle and low income groups. They offered the lowest price for their hair cuts at only P49, even up to the present.

Reyes Haircutters in Franchising

After just a year, Les opened the business for franchising. Currently, the Reyes Haircutters has over 200 branches nationwide. They continue to provide good quality service to their customers, as well as provide livelihood to more Filipinos.
