We all want to grow our business and achieve tremendous sales. The key is to find and attract lots of customers in the shortest possible time. In order to do that, here are several selling tips that you can follow.

Tip 1: Practice Email Marketing.

Develop an email newsletter and fill it with contents your customers will find valuable. Make sure they opt-in to receive updates from you but don’t spam them. Only send content that will build your relationship and credibility with your customers. When people trust you, sales naturally follows.

Tip 2: Invest in PPC (Pay-per-click) ads.

PPC is an effective and cost efficient method to bring customers to your website. PPCs build awareness for your brand. It allows you to focus on your target audience accurately by using specific keywords. When your prospect clicks on those keywords, they will be lead to your site.

Tip 3: Encourage customer referrals.

Ask every single person you come into contact with for a referral. It’s an old school selling tip that benefits every person who follows it. Even if the customer didn’t buy your product or avail your service, ask them if they know anyone who can benefit from your offer. Most of the time you won’t get one but don’t let it stop you from asking. When you do get a referral, it will be worth all the no’s you got.

Tip 4: Ask your co-workers for referrals.

Even your co-workers would know someone who would benefit from your sales offer. Over 90% of non-sales employees would know several top quality prospects who could help you increase your sales. Just ask them for the information.

Tip 5: Tap your personal network.

Don’t be afraid to go to your friends, family and neighbors. They also know people who would benefit from your business. Don’t be embarrassed to ask them for referrals.

Tip 6: Explore joint ventures.

Do you know someone who is not your competitor but call on the same customer base with a different service? If you do, then call them and explore the possibility of building a mutually beneficial relationship together. They will want to know what’s in it for them so be prepared for a deal they can’t refuse.

Tip 7: Distribute flyers.

If you want to reach a large number of customers at once, flyers will do the trick. Just design a compelling one-page flyer and hire even a high school kid to distribute it to your target area.

Tip 8: Send out postcards.

Create simple and targeted postcards and distribute them to your target market. It’s better if you can personalize it. It’s a great way to drive traffic to your website.

Tip 9: Perform some cold calls.

Cold calls are effective when done right. Don’t use cheesy or canned scripts. Be genuine, caring and focused on your prospect. Cold calls give great results when you have an effective plan and technique to make it work.

Acquiring new customers and selling to them doesn’t have to be hard. With proper sales training and using time and tested selling tips, your sales would definitely skyrocket.
